SHOP ART. DO GOOD.

I’m thrilled to partner with The Frame Corner, where I’m currently showing over a dozen of my mosaic works. The offerings range from classical Roman reproductions to the abstract and contemporary to pendants. All proceeds benefit The Phoenix Center and St. John’s Education Center; both helping to serve local children in their journeys to healthy and happy adulthood. Purchases can also be made on my website.

A Reflection on Shelter-In-Place

The days pass more slowly, and a sensation that can only be described as surreal permeates each moment.  This is a time of pandemic.

The paucity of tasks, activities, diversions, and obligations feels both a blessing and an unfamiliar curse.  Obligations have been pushed aside and timeframes shuffled.  I find myself in a pattern of activity different from the past.

My mosaic practice has grown more meditative.  Each day I am able to spend an hour - or maybe two - in the studio.  This is my quiet place, a place of refuge where I am my most authentic self.  Hands, heart, and mind work together to shape things of beauty; things that have a message to convey.  At times I listen to soft music, but often I listen only to the quiet of my mind.
