"Dreaming of Giverny"

$0.00

As a young man, Claude Monet dreamed of a private place where he could immerse himself in light. As Claude famously noted, “the light changes every seven minutes”.

A home in Giverny, France surrounded by his large family became Claude’s dream. Painting from his small boat upon an ethereal pond of water lilies, he created some of his finest works - 73 canvases in all. This mosaic was inspired by Monet’s “Water Lilies, 1916”. The original work resides in the collection of the National Museum of Western Art, Tokyo.

A play on texture and light, the mosaic is composed of antique “found” and contemporary art glass and recycled bottle glass. It measures 11” X 27.5” in the attractive silvered frame. This piece is intended for indoor use only. Shipping and delivery included in pricing.
