The title of this work derives from Don McLean's ballad "Starry Starry Night".  Midway through the narrative of the life of Vincent VanGogh, we hear:

"Vincent,

This world was never

Meant for one

As beautiful as you."

The work recalls VanGogh's masterpiece "Starry Night," 1889, on permanent display at the Museum of Metropolitan Art, New York City.  Ironically, VanGogh considered the image to be one of his less successful renditions.  It has gained international acclaim as one of his most-recognized and most-loved works.
