This work celebrates the spring bloom of the prickly pear cactus, a true icon of Central Texas. The piece was composed en plein air, then completed in the studio. Materials include Mexican smalti, glass rod, found antique stained glass, and millifiori. Attractively framed in the Ravenna style using sand-colored mortar. The frame is gold leaf with a black reveal that mimics the negative space surrounding the central motif. Framed size is 11.25” x 14.25” x 1.75”. Shipping and delivery included in pricing.
